Holifield Farm
Holifield boasts 32 acres of pasture and woodland overlooking the valley of Gweek on the picturesque Helford River. Holifield Farm is a holistic and inclusive haven that promotes an ethos of sustainability and community-living.
Holifield Hostel has been lovingly hand-crafted, which can be seen and appreciated in each quirky detail. The use of reclaimed materials, including beams rescued from the pier at Falmouth Docks, adds historical charm to this modern building. (There may be a few beds available in the hostel, but it is being reserved mainly for family visiting from a distance. If you are really in need of a proper bed, please ask Ania)

There is a large camping field available on site, and a huge fire pit and Pizza Dock - a newly built outdoor shelter and social space just next to the hostel. Constructed using the great beams of timber salvaged from the historic Falmouth docks, this is an ideal place to sit and watch the sunrise over the valley, cook pizzas in our oven, and enjoy a bonfire under the stars. The big firepit can host a large party and we'll have a large bonfire going at appropriate times.

Gweek Creek

The delightfully named village of Gweek is sited at the head of the Helford River, at the end of a beautiful Creek (naturally enough). Holifield Farm, close by, is almost adjacent to the wonderful Cornish Seal Sanctuary, a centre of excellence in the saving of seals and other marine mammals in difficulties. It is open to the public daily from 11am-4pm.

Also in Gweek you can find sustenance both liquid and otherwise at The Black Swan Inn and Restaurant, at the Boatyard Cafe and at The Little Boat Bar. Entertainment for the kids for free can be had in the Gweek Play Area.

There is a Post Office and a Premier Stores in Gweek shop selling basic foodstuffs. The nearest supermarkets and fuel stations are in Helston.
