Wasson ...

During the festivities we will look after you with good food and brilliant music, and with your help, create an amazing time for us all to remember. As we would love to provide all the fun possible, we do have a few favours to ask.

Thursday 11th August & Friday 12th August:

Setting up days... We are going to start setting up the venue, the wedding marquee and the decorations from Thursday, so any available hands, heads and bodies are very welcome to stay and camp there with us to give us a hand. We would very much appreciate your help. Food-wise, it's DIY. You can use the huge fire-pit for an evening meal or bring/buy in from local food establishments, or make a diy dinner on the campsite.

Saturday 13th August - WEDDING DAY!

The big event is scheduled for 2.30pm... so you'll have the morning if you feel the need to beautify yourselves any more than you already are... If you're camping/glamping on site, please allow plenty of time to be set up and ready by 1pm at the latest!

Guests invited for the ceremony and meal please be ready by 2pm and if all other guests could join us after 6pm

We will be providing some exciting food after the Wedding, with dinner and speeches from 3.30pm - 6pm.

If arriving after 1pm please be mindful of the ceremony and speech timings.

On the Saturday night we're having a big party, with entertainment throughout the evening from a host of great musicians - but feel free to bring your own instruments and join in! Be prepared to have a go and learn some fun Cornish dancing/ Nos Lowen, get your beards primed and ready - oiled, scented, decorated or whatever takes your fancy, for The Big Beard-Off!

We are expecting dancing! Don't let us down!!

Sunday 14th August:

Chill out day. I’m excited to say that a few friends have offered their wonderful skills to help us relax and unwind after the craziness of Saturday by organizing a yoga session and a gong bath. Times to be set closer to date. Or take the opportunity to explore the wonderful countryside around Holifield with walks or a trip to a local beach. However, don't stay away too long and join us for an acoustic evening by the fire so don't forget your instruments.

If you suspect you will not feel like cooking on Sunday, we'll have a catering team on hand, including our wonderful friends Sophie and Greg with their festival food horsebox serving brunch between 9am-1pm, Holifield Pizza Oven from 2-5pm and in the evening we'll have mega meaty feast by the fire- pre-book your choices here.

To pre-order your own choice and pre-pay on this website click on the pre book link above, as our cooks need to know how many portions to prepare prior to Sunday - they will be having fun with us the night before.

Monday 15th August:

Final day - we must vacate the site by the afternoon, so please arrange to clear all your tents, vans, caravans and assorted paraphernalia in good time. PLEASE DON'T LEAVE ANYTHING BEHIND - ESPECIALLY RUBBISH - oh, and children.

We would very much appreciate anyone still on site who doesn't need to rush away to stay as HELPERS to strike the marquee and ensure we leave the place clean and tidy.

Toilets/showers/washing facilities/Access:

There are compost toilets and running water on the camping field.

Parking:

There is an on-site free car park, open 24 hours. Much of the main site is accessible for wheelchairs/mobility scooters.

Site tidiness:

We would be really grateful for all our guests being careful to leave no rubbish and avoid bringing glass to the site, especially important as it’s a farm setting. There will be many families with feral kiddies that love running barefoot, and animals graze the fields when not in use for events, so please – NO GLASS – bring some festival cups with you instead. There will be bins, but to save them over-flowing, please take your rubbish home with you if you can

Children:

We're planning on having facilities for children - maybe a special marquee for them with helpers to keep them entertained... and we're open to ideas!

Alcohol:

There will be no bar on site, so please bring some booze with you to last you at least two nights. We will be bringing a keg of Beer and Cider.

Food: We will be providing a meal for wedding guests on the Saturday, however we invite local guests to bring a dish to share for the evening so we don't run out. Various food options will be available on the Sunday. Emergency food supplies are available from the Post Office from 10am-5.30pm Monday to Friday, and there are meals available in the pub and a couple of cafes in Gweek (see The Site page).

NB: Sorry - NO DOGS PLEASE
